EU Commission DGSANTE

European Food Safety Authority (EFSA)
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is the agency of the European Union (EU) that provides independent scientific advice and communicates on existing and emerging risks associated with the food chain.
Codex Alimentarius Commission
The Codex Alimentarius or “Food Code” was established by FAO and the World Health Organization in 1963 to develop harmonised international food standards, which protect consumer health and promote fair practices in food trade.
The Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives
WHO began on 7 April 1948 – a date now celebrated every year as World Health Day. Now more than 7000 people working in 150 country offices, in 6 regional offices and at our headquarters in Geneva.

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) is the government department responsible for environmental protection, food production and standards, agriculture, fisheries and rural communities in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Center for Food Safety and Nutrition (CFSAN)
FDA is responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation.
